Transfer students make up approximately 20% of the nearly 13,000 Franklin College undergraduates. The Office of Transfer Academic Services (OTAS) recognizes and values transfer students as an integral part of the UGA student body. In order to further welcome and engage our incoming students, OTAS has brought aboard 11 Transfer Ambassadors! The Ambassadors represent and serve as resources for the Franklin College transfer student population. Ambassador's Transfer Tips Our Ambassadors Sophie Ellingwood Hi, my name is Sophie Ellingwood. I transferred to UGA last Fall 2022 from the University of North Georgia (Gainesville campus) with my Associates in Biology. I am currently a senior with a plan to graduate next Fall 2024 with a major in Biology and a minor in Spanish. Some of my hobbies and interests include reading, learning new languages, listening to music, meditating, and yoga. Sarah Intidam Hi, my name is Sarah Intidam, I am a fourth-year history major and Double Dawg, and I transferred to UGA in the Spring of 2022 from Georgia State University. My favorite hobbies include watching comedy and horror movies with my friends, reading, and listening to podcasts. Trey Lednik Hey! I’m Trey, a 3rd year Graphic Design major and transferred to UGA from Kennesaw State in the spring of 2023. Some of my hobbies are painting, playing golf, cooking, and watching the dawgs win national championships Kimberly Lee Hello! My name is Kimberly Lee, and I transferred to the University of Georgia in Fall 2022 from Georgia State University! I am a 4th year Psychology Major with a minor in Law, Ethics, and philosophy! I love listening to music and traveling to festivals! Mohnish Mistry What's up y'all! My name is Mohnish Mistry and I am a 3rd-year majoring in Biology and minoring in Sociology. I transferred to UGA from Georgia State University in Spring 2023. In my free time, I enjoy spending time outdoors, building Legos, playing basketball, and cooking. In addition, I am the captain of Georgia Saazish which is a competitive Bollywood-fusion dance team at UGA. Elizabeth Nelson My name is Elizabeth Nelson, and I am a third year Psychology major and criminal Justice/pre-med minor. I transferred from the University of North Georgia my sophomore year of college and I will graduate in Spring of 2025. I enjoy spending time outdoors, paddle-boarding, reading, and grabbing coffee with friends. George Owusu Hey everyone, my name is George Owusu. I'm a Computer Science major that transferred to the University of Georgia in Fall of 2022. I love playing the piano, trying new restaurants, and playing video games. Esther Park Hello! My name is Esther and I’m very honored to be part of the ‘23-‘24 transfer student ambassador team for the Franklin College of UGA! I’m a third-year psychology major with a neuroscience emphasis, minoring in biology and ASL. I transferred to UGA from Berry College during the second semester of my sophomore year. Some of my hobbies include watching movies, exploring new eateries, and traveling! My name is Lena Park and I am currently a 4th year Psychology major on the pre-PA track! I transferred to UGA last Fall 2022 from Georgia State University! My name is Erin Powell and I am one of your Franklin College Transfer Ambassadors! I transferred to UGA in Fall 22’ from the University of North Georgia (Dahlonega campus). I am currently a 4th year majoring in Biology with a minor in Public Health. I plan to graduate in Fall 2024! Outside of school, I am in the Georgia Army National Guard serving as a Human Resources Specialist. Some of my hobbies/interests include going to the gym, shopping, volunteering and much more. My majors are Biology and Psychology with an emphasis in Neuroscience. I transferred here to UGA back in the Fall of 2021 from Georgia State University. I am on the Pre-Health track and my goal is to become a future healthcare provider to those in need. When I am at UGA I engage in a lot of activities, such as bowling and hiking. I also really love to paint, build crafts, and write poetry in my free time. I really love to watch anime and occasionally listen to K-pop, but I really love listening to Instrumental music. Overall my favorite thing to do on campus is meeting up with friends to get boba and chat. Grace Walbrecher Hello! My name is Grace and I'm currently a 4th Year CS major with my focus on Software Development. I transferred to UGA from Kennesaw State University in the Spring of 2021.
