Sanford Stadium Tue, 08/13/2019 - 6:30pm Transfer Services Meet the Franklin College Transfer Ambassadors to join other new students forming the "G" on the field of Sanford Stadium. We will meet at 6:00 PM in front of Memorial Hall, next to the bulldog statue. Freshman Welcome 2019 (this is for transfers and 1st year students)) This is an annual event, hosted the day before the first day of classes. By participating in Freshman Welcome students complete tradition #4 of the G-book, “Between the Hedges.” Before forming a human "G" on the field and having their picture taken as a class, students hear welcoming words from the university leaders. Additionally, students learn and practice the football cheers in preparation for their first game “between the hedges” as students at the University of Georgia.
