Building Academic Skills

UGA offers undergraduates resources to support their continued academic pursuits and intellectual development. While some are housed within Franklin College departments, others offer support campus-wide.

Office of Student Success & Achievement (OSSA)

OSSA offers a wide variety of services for undergraduate and graduate students including Academic Coaching, Peer Education, UNIV courses, and other student support services.

Jill and Marvin Willis Center for Writing

This center offers students, faculty, and staff support on a wide variety of writing projects. Writing center consultants are practiced at providing feedback and support on a wide range of writing, from an English 1101 essay to a personal statement for medical school.

Department of Mathematics Study Hall and Tutoring

UGA’s Math Department hosts weekly Study Hall and Tutoring supporting all undergraduate MATH courses, except Math 1101.

Language Tutoring

The Department of Romance Languages offers free language tutoring for current students in French, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish.
