Ms. Hitchcock, a native of Chicago, earned an AB degree from the University of Notre Dame and an MA from Georgia State University. She advises computer science students in the Boyd Graduate Research Building. Ms. Hitchcock received UGA's Outstanding Academic Advisor award in the "new advisor" category in 2013. In addition to her work with the Franklin College, Ms. Hitchcock writes software documentation.
